You should work with Deirdre! Full stop. She is fantastic, incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and so much fun to work with. She helped me navigate all of the uncertainties of being a first time homebuyer and was always available by phone or by text to answer any questions I had. She made the search process so fun, she gave me great recommendations, and also was always so happy to take me to a place that I had found. I am definitely going to miss driving around town talking about and touring properties with Deirdre! When it was time to make an offer, she had extremely expert advice on how to craft an offer to get the best deal with all of the things I was looking for. She helped negotiate the places I was flexible in order to get the best possible deal. She is really such an expert and such a pro and, best of all, a lovely person who was great to work with.
Deirdre was a fantastic agent throughout the process. She is extremely knowledgeable about the Capitol Hill area and the nuances of each block, including the neighborhood culture. She even knew whether they have block parties and if you really need off-street parking or street spots are always open, etc. She also had recommended lenders, insurance, title company, contractors, and more, who were all excellent to work with. She was extremely communicative and available. She very artfully navigated her conversations with the seller’s agent to ensure our offer was selected from several other bids without going higher than we needed to. I cannot recommend her enough.
I wish I could give more stars, as Deirdre is that amazing! She helped us with the purchase of an adorable little rowhouse in Georgetown. Being out of state, I had seen the house online and sent my son, who’s in graduate school, to check it out at an open house. Deirdre happened to be there filling in for the listing agent, and my son got her contact info and had nothing but good things to say about his interaction with her. I decided to call her up, and the rest is history! She made the daunting process of purchasing a home from out of state so enjoyable and easy! Her excellent communication, fund of knowledge, negotiation skills, and easy-going manner all made the experience so exceptional. I would use her again in a heartbeat and highly recommend her to anyone!
